Vital Step Fitting & Care Guide
Your quick reference for getting started with Vital Step. Always follow the instructions supplied with your exact device; this guide complements them.
1. Check and position
Check that the corrector is undamaged. Sit comfortably and position the brace and toe support as shown in the supplied instructions.
2. Fasten gently
Secure the straps for a comfortable fit. They should not cause pressure, numbness or tingling.
3. Adjust gradually
Turn the adjustment dial gently. Aim for a comfortable supported position and never force your toe.
4. Follow your wear instructions
Use the wear schedule and activity guidance supplied with your corrector. Stop using it if you experience pain, numbness, tingling or skin irritation, and ask a qualified clinician for advice if symptoms persist.
5. Care and storage
Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions. Allow the corrector to dry fully before storing it. Keep it in a clean, dry place. The Comfort Kit and Complete Relief Kit each include one storage and travel pouch.

This device supports toe position during wear. It does not remove the bony bump; permanent correction is not established.
